Age

Age in this film, is represented both positive and negative. It's shown as positive as it's shown as a time of life where teenagers are making life choices, and deciding who they are, and what they want from their life. It's also negative as it shows that people of that age lie and generally act out, so in a way it shows teenagers in a negative way, especially american teenagers. It also shows teenagers in a positive way as it shows them as people trying to work out where they are in their lives.
 The values of the producer are that teenagers can be seen in both lights, it's up to the viewer how they choose to view the teenagers, for example, some may choose to see teenagers as stupid, selfish and annoying, whereas some may just view them as confused who need help.
