- The camera is set from a point of view shot when Jennifer Lawrence's character enters the room, therefore the audience has the same perspective as her.
- The shot pans out across the crowd, to show the amount of people that are watching the person, and watching the interview.
- There's a mix of high and low key lighting, there is low key lighting on the crowd, to show that they aren't as important as the characters who are in high key lighting, which in this case is Jennifer Lawrence and Stanley Tucci's characters, they are on the stage and therefore it shows that they are the main focus of the shot.
- There's a lot of over the shoulder shots, which shows an intimate conversation, between two people. It shows that they are talking directly to each other, which is an interview format.
- The female character is dressed up, therefore the audience gets the view that she's important as she's dressed up, the colour she's wearing as well are warm, therefore she can appear friendly.
- The male character is dressed in a suit, again coming across formally, and seems to be important as well. He's wearing quite cold colours, therefore audience may assume that he's cold, and quite uncaring.
Technical Codes
- There are cut scenes to the crowd and then back onto the stage again, this shows the importance of the crowd in the shot.
- There is a soft focus on the start of the clip, when Jennifer Lawrence enters, it blurs in and out of her face, this shows how nervous she is, as it could relate to her breathing and how she's seeing everything.
- Focuses on her POV as it shows most things from over her shoulder, therefore her point of view.
Audio Codes
- At the start, the sound of the crowd is loud and overpowering, but then as she gets closer to the crowd, the cheers become muffled as if she's blocked them out, so does the interviewer, this links with how the character is feeling, she is overwhelmed by the noise, and is blocking them out because she's so mesmerised by what she's seeing, which is why the video keeps happening whilst the sound is being blocked out.
- There's a lot of diegetic noise from the crowd, however they have placed non diegetic noise over the top to muffle the sound coming from the crowd, to create an effect of confusion.
